The Software application project Lodge Room Booking and Food order System’s objectives are to provide a system to manage a hotel and to manage the food orders from hotel customers. Without automation the management of the hotel has become an unwieldy task. The end users’ day-to-day jobs of managing a hotel will be simplified by a considerable amount through the automated system. The application is to be fully developed under Dot Net using Visual Basic .Net and SQL server stores all the records.

Modules of Lodge Room Booking and Food order System
Room booking module:
A complete room booking system to provide hotel managers with an easy way to manage reservations and booking availability. In the booking module staff can book the room by selecting room type and room number. After booking the room customer will receive a booking receipt. System calculates number of days, total amount automatically.
This module stores customer profile details with name, phone number, address proof, ID proof, etc.
This module allows staff to add payment details. After the payment the system generates payment receipt.
Room and Room types module:
In this module administrator can add rooms and it has options to add different types of rooms.
3.2.5 Alert/Reminder module:
This module allows hotel staff to set alarm or wakeup call for customer by entering Room number, Date, Time, Reminder note, etc.
3.2.6 Food Item module:
This module allows user to add food items by entering item name, item cost, image, etc.
3.2.7 Item order module:
This module adds item order details which is received from customer. Staff can enter Room number, item details, cost, paid amount, etc. Item bill directly adds in the payment module.
3.2.8 Employee Management module:
The module user management system manages users; it has a control over staff. It defines roles and access of a staff and prevents from unauthorized access and performs.
3.2.9 Dashboard module
This module is for administrator where administrator can add different room types, room details, room tariff details, staff details, etc.
3.2.10 Report module:
This module generates and displays various kinds of report. Admin or staff can view all kinds of report by entering from date, to date, roomtype wise, etc.
