The college alumni website is an application that will allow the college management to store the details of the old and new students of the college. It also allows them to communicate with each other. The details related to the job vacancies, career, subject details can be asked by the new students from the old students. Manually collecting the student’s data and storing it through some pen paper method is a tedious job. There is no security for the data that is stored through such method. Through the college alumni website this work can be avoided. The details of the students can be got in just one mouse click.
The students will be able to access the old students details with great ease. Extra features can also be added through this application. The user interface must be simple and easy to understand. This will be one of the applications that one can implement in real time world. The modules of the college alumni website are as follows:
- Registration module: This module will allow the user to register them by entering the username, password and then login using that.
- Login module: After successful registration, the user can login using the username and password with great ease.
- Staff module: The student details can be updated by the staff through this module.
- Admin module: The admin alone has the right to add or delete the staff details with great ease.
- Event module: The students can view the events that are being published by the staffs.
- Alumni search module: The records can be searched by the students through this module.
- Message module: This module will be responsible for the communication between the old students and the new students.
- Reports module: The student reports of the various activities can be displayed through this application.
Modules of the project:
- Registration module: In the registration module old and new students can register to the system by entering their profile details with roll number.
- Login module: The registered students can login to the system by entering login id and password. If the person forgets password they can recover the password in the forgot password panel. The users can change the password in the change password page.
- Staff module: The staff module is for college staff to monitor students activities.
- Admin module: The administrator has full authority of the website. Only administrator can add staff details.
- Event module: In the events module the administrator can publish events. Students will receive a published events through online.
- Alumni search module: In the search module students can search records.
- Message module: The students can communicate with old students in the message module. To create message compose message, Inbox has received messages and sent message can be viewed in this module.
- Report module: The report module which displays all activities of the student report.
